Waterbury School Seeks Approval
Debora Mainstruck, left, principal of Blessed Sacrament School in Waterbury, is interviewed by two representatives from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Joann Borchetta, center and Linda Glaude, at the school Monday. A committee will review the school over a period of four days. The primary purpose for the NEASC accreditation process is to provide realistic opportunities for schools to develop improvement strategies. The follow-up monitoring by NEASC enhances the school’s opportunity to progress. The successful conclusion of the accreditation process results not only in approval but also public awareness of how good a school really is.
